starting from the top shelf to the bottom shelf here is a quick run through. please feel free to call or email us with any enquiries.

1st shelf – our own handcrafted raw wooden blocks – one of our all time favourites. people often buy these as baby gifts and they look superb on shelves. mama’s and papa’s round about wall canvas – very cute and they look great with the matching blanket (last shelf), hooded towel and round about soft toy in blue.

2nd shelf – kanvas kids alphabet canvas – a real winner for christening and birthday presents from ages 1 – 4. plus our loved kaloo soft toys with their own keepsake boxes. available in pink or blue. great for birth, christening or 1st birthday presents. so soft and babies and us of course just love them as comforters!

3rd shelf – our wooden joined cursive letters for shelves, walls or even doors. available in pale blue, white, pink, red or pastel green – they look so good and brighten up every child’s room. plus you will notice a fine selection of royal selangor pewter keepsakes (we have a number of styles available) and our unique bowtique hair accessories and keepsake tea sets!

4th shelf – our hoot white boxed elephant frames with our pink vinyl suitcases and the oh so soft round about blankets in blue and pink from the marvellous mama’s and papa’s collection.

so it’s the weekend, it’s cold and you have an array of activities going on. last weekend this is what my sunday was about - two birthday parties to attend with catalina and leo, friends over in the afternoon for coffee and a good catch up and of course my gorgeous catalina and leo constantly saying mummy can I have a treat!!!!

during my morning coffee I remember my very good friends choc chip cookies and quickly called her for the details. not only do they taste absolutely superb (they melt in your mouth and are truly truly wonderful) but they are so so easy to make and you make 80 cookies in one go! it is perfect as an activity with the kids, and it ticks all the boxes for the day - a great treat, a great cookie to offer my guests for coffee and I can take some to the birthday parties as little desserts! I just about achieved everything in one little hour! it was like I had achieved a bungy jumping session!

lesley’s kinder choc chip cookies – great for fundraisers!

makes 80!
500gm block of butter
1 ¼ cups castor sugar
400gm can of Sweet and Condensed Milk
5 Cups of Self Raising flour
250 gms White Choc Chips
2 x 250 gms Dark Mil Cholc Chips
• Preheat oven to 180º.
• Cream butter, sugar and sweet and condensed milk with an electric mixer until light and creamy.
• Add sifted flour and choc chips then combine.
• Shape cookies and put on heat proof tray.
• Bake at 180º for approx 14 mins

(I take them out when they are still a little soft….yummy!

kounia-bella is the “all things kids” store that was opened in july 2005 by helen & pete in hampton.  the name kounia-bella refers to a greek nursery rhyme about a beautiful girl on a swing and was inspired by the birth of helen’s two children catalina and leo.the kounia-bella team is made up of four mum’s: helen, with catalina (5) and leo (4), emma, who is the proud mum of zali (1), yvette, who has the gorgeous marshall (7) and cooper (5), and last but not least is me, tam, who has katie (13), nicholas (3) and thomas (1).
